On the morning of July 19, 2023, the University of Law held a meeting with the Paris Bar Association, France. At the meeting, the VNU University of Law welcomed Mrs. Thi My Hanh NGO-Folliot (Chairman of the European and Vietnamese Legal Cooperation Association); Mr. Nguyen Thiep (Former Vietnamese Ambassador to France and vice chairman of the Viet Nam - France Friendship Association under the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organization) and numerous reputable lawyers who are representatives of the Paris Bar Association.

 

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Dr. Tran Thu Hanh (Head of the Department of Education and Student Affairs) expressed her excitement as the University welcomed the representatives of the Paris Bar Association. Following Mrs. Hanh's speech, Dr. Mai Van Thang (Head of the Department of Research Management and Partnership Cooperation) introduced the University's cooperation and scientific research activities with several French universities to lawyers.

 

Speaking on behalf of the Paris Bar Association, Mrs. Thi My Hanh NGO-Folliot extended her thanks for the warm welcome and affirmed that the Paris Bar Association would like to have the opportunity to cooperate with the University in the future.

During the meeting, the lawyers and lecturers of the University proposed recommendations for cooperation related to law training activities for students, especially law practice skills, the advantageous areas of the lawyers, and concluded that the two sides would further discuss the direction of cooperation and development in specific activities soon after the meeting.
