On the afternoon of October 28, 2022, at the second-level
hall of Sunwah building, the University of Law, Vietnam National University,
Hanoi (VNU) held a seminar with the theme "Improving business law
in the context of implementing new-generation free trade agreements".
The conference had the participation of many leading experts and scholars such as Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thi Que Anh - Rector; Dr. Nguyen Trong Diep - Vice Rector, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Khanh Nguyen; Dr. Phan Duc Hieu; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Quang Tuyen, … The seminar also attracted the attention of more than 100 delegates participating in person and online via the Zoom platform. The seminar was divided into two sessions moderated by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phan Thi Thanh Thuy and Dr. Nguyen Trong Diep.
In the first session, the workshop had 06 speakers presenting their presentations including Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Khanh Nguyen with the presentation "Legal challenges posed to Vietnam's commercial law in the context of implementing new-generation free trade agreements"; Dr. Phan Duc Hieu with the presentation "New challenges in attracting FDI for Vietnam"; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Thi Que Anh with the lecture "Implementation of Intellectual Property Law in the Context of Implementation of New-generation Free Trade Agreements - Orientations and some solutions"; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Quang Tuyen with the presentation "Land policies and laws for foreign investment projects in Vietnam"; Dr. Pham Trong Nghia with the presentation "Labor commitments in EVFTA and CPTPP"; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phan Thi Thanh Thuy with the presentation "Solving disputes between the Vietnamese government and foreign investors in the context of implementing new-generation free trade agreements". The content of the presentations revolved around extremely hot and urgent issues in the context that Vietnam is participating in many new-generation free trade agreements. During the discussion session, the speakers received many questions related to various legal fields such as commercial law, intellectual property law, etc. After 3 hours, the seminar ended successfully.
